Creative Commons is key component of user generated content, Web 2.0, sharing and "remix culture" of the Internet. It is exceedingly important for CC to receive the support of established user-oriented companies and services like NIFTY and I am excited and impressed by NIFTY's forward-looking endeavor to provide Creative Commons on their site. Creative Commons is about provide "choice" to artists and creators and I think that it shows how well Nifty is tuned into the needs of the users and the community.

クリエイティブ・コモンズは、Web2.0や情報共有といった、ユーザー自身がコンテンツを創造する、インターネット上での「リミックス・カルチャー」の鍵になる要素です。ニフティ社のように、顧客指向の高い企業とそのサービスの支援を受けるということは、クリエイティブ・コモンズにとって、非常に重要なことです。そしてニフティ社が自身のサイトに、クリエイティブ・コモンズを積極的な展望のもとに導入しようと努力していることに対して、私は興奮し感銘を受けております。クリエイティブ・コモンズは、アーティストやクリエーターに「選択の自由」をもたらすものです。そして、まさにこのことが、ニフティ社がユーザーやコミュニティのニーズに応えようとしている現れだと思うのです。
